Astound Real Estate and Property Management was founded by Stuart Levitas, Realtor, CCRM, JD. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California and has been involved in real estate and property management for over fourteen years. He has a Law degree as a Juris Doctor. Stuart has owned properties since 1986.
Stuart has a proven history of success in the East Bay property management industry. He honed his skills as a Director of the Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda County. In that capacity, he taught classes on effective ways to manage property to rental property owners and property managers. He organized and developed the RHANAC Annual Trade Show & Expo now in its eighth year. He brings passion, knowledge and commitment to his rental owners. He manages single family homes, multi-plex units and HOAs. Stuart is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, Bay East Association of Realtors, National Apartment Association and the East Bay Rental Housing Association. David Levitas graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He spent four years working in management at hotels in San Diego and Maui before joining Astound Real Estate and Property Management in 2015.

Kayla Gonzalez has over seven years of experience in portfolio management and customer service in the Real Estate and Property Management fields. She manages over 200 units and helps run the office for Astound. Her clients love her passion and hard work she provides for them. During Kayla’s free time, she enjoys being with her husband and kids. She enjoys coaching her son in soccer, watching all the sports, reading any romance/fantasy books she can get her hands on and listening to all kinds of music. Julie Scrabis, an East Bay native and Saint Mary’s College alum and joined our Astound property management team in 2021. She brings over 25 years of experience in this industry. Her dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail make her a favorite of owners and tenants alike. Prior to joining Astound, Julie managed over 100 Single Family Homes in the Walnut Creek and Lamorinda area. A licensed real estate agent, Julie lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and enjoys her free time baking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

Raquel Escalante has been with the Astound Team since 2019. With over 12 years of customer service experience. Raquel has been married to her supportive and caring husband for 5 years with two boys, a very athletic, smart and imaginative almost 6-year-old, and a 4-month-old who is finding his loud voice and personality. Mel Osborne - Leasing AssistantMel joined team Astound in 2021. She has been in the property management industry for 28 years. She specializes in leasing and on-site management. She has received awards in Contra Costa County for leasing director of the year and outstanding customer service. Mel is our go-to leaser, who rents out properties quickly and to the best tenants. She brings so much joy to the office and is always making sure that everyone in the office is taken care of. Mel is a team player and will always help anyone out in a pinch. She has 3 kids and 8 grandkids who keep her busy, happy and entertained.

She has over 10 years of experience in property management and has been on the accounting side of property management for the last 6 years. The office would not be the same without her. Yesenia has been married for 17 years and has 4 children, 2 of which are adults and 2 teenagers.
